My name is Dhanya and I am a Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga Alliance Qualified teacher.
I am delighted to offer a Prana Vinyasa Flow inspired YOGA class.
Since qualifying in 2014 I have continued my studies deepening both my practice and theory.
The Yoga Vinyasa Class I offer, is inspired by Shiva Rea’s Prana Flow. It is strongly influenced by my teacher Alessandra, founder of Aditya School of Yoga, Ancient Techniques For Modern Living.
During my classes, I work with the physical, energetic and subtle body.
Through the pranayama, or breath techniques, I facilitate the opening and balancing of the chakras system. My classes often include chants and short periods of meditation.
When practicing, I offer a wide range of asanas’ variations, this makes my classes suitable for everybody no matter what level of fitness or experience they have. I also, use many useful verbal clues to help participants tune their body deeper.
I like to highlight the physiological and mental benefits my classes promote.
We will listen to some uplifting and connecting music. Deep house, ambient, downtempo, dub, chills and tribal are some of the rhythms I love to use.
My teaching comes from the heart and my aim is to lift the vibes of the room, creating a safe and intimate place to be just what we are.
You will learn the alignment of each pose and how to link them into a flow.
The Vinyasa Flow sequences are all designed to leave students stretched, relaxed yet invigorated, focused, calm and all seasoned with a pure sense of joy.
By tuning ourselves with the cycles of the Earth, such as the seasons, the nights and days, and the Moon cycles we are able to harness the powerful energy of the universe. This leads to creating a sense of unity within.
