Mieke has been practicing Yoga since the early Nineties and has trained in many forms of Yoga, including Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Iyengar, Sivananda, Satyananda and Yin Yoga and also studies Qigong. Mieke is based in London’s Notting Hill.
Mieke trained with the Minded Institute and qraduated as a Yoga Therapist completing the Yoga Therapy Professional Training Programme. In addition to this she is a registered Yoga Teacher (REPS) after completing her initial Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Professionals. Mieke also feels privileged to have trained with philosopher and writer Max Strom and followed his level 1 and 2 teacher training courses in both London and Zurich. In 2012 she also took a Yin Yoga Teacher Training course with Sarah Powers in Amsterdam. Other teachers she trained with in intensives are Ana Forrest, Rod Stryker and recently Doug Keller.

She teaches regular Yoga Classes in London and also sees private clients, further to this she can also teach at events, corporate or private and has been doing this on a regular basis. Mieke is qualified to teach the 8 week Yoga Therapy for the mind course, check dates. Also she works as a coach, using body-mind therapy helping you find your life purpose, plus Mieke is a belief closet practitioner and trained with Lion Goodman (www.beliefcloset.com) In addition to this she also is a qualified Reiki 1 and 2 practitioner.
Mieke’s classes are based on the Hatha Yoga techniques of relaxation, breathing, warm up excercises, sun salutations, and postures. The focus especially being on the breathing and also Mieke incorporates some of her Qigong experience into the practice. The aim is to improve strength and flexibility as well as developing the ability to relax. Mieke has developed lunch time classes of an hour, wear comfortable clothing, no sweating. Give yourself some time to re-energise and refresh over lunch. Experience a unique combination of relaxation, work-out and silence balancing body, mind and soul. Boost up your energy and leave refreshed and alert.
Mieke will be holding an 8 week YOGA & MINDFULNESS COURSE from the 18th May. This class is held in the DANCE STUDIO.
